Technics SL-Q350 Audio Problems

I have a Technics Quarts SL-Q350 that has been hooked up to a new reciver. It had been working fine at a normal volume level, but today we were trying to use it and the volume has to be turned all the way to the maximum and the sound is still quiet.
Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? Or is the table just worn out.
