Agree on the methods you post to pick up lost performance.One other item to add to the General CheckUp list is suspension.
If you have a springy deck, check that all is unimpeded, aligned, and correctly positioned for that ... if a non-springy, check that shelf & footer elements are lined up correctly and levelled, with no impediments creating resonance-loops.
So often a quarter-inch of stress, strain or misalignment in the siting of a turntable--- something that's just drifted off or gotten budged a little over time --- can dull or kill what was recently great performance.
Takes a second to check under, behind and around a table for gremlins.
