Seamonster,I have used both the HiFi News Test LP, and the Analogue Productions Test LP. I find that as long as you survived the Hi Fi News first track you should be alright. There is NO WAY anyone with a proper Antiskate setup would have survived the 2nd track let alone the 3rd one. And if your set up can play the first 2 tracks successfully your antiskate is probably WAY TO MUCH.
Initially when I used the Hi Fi news LP to set my antiskate, I ended up over doing it to the point that when you land the needle you could actually see it being pulled inward. I am also very familiar with several classical pieces and it actually mistracked toward the last segment of the LP using the Hi Fi news test LP settings (4th side of Delibus Sylvia, London; Rite of Spring, Solti, Decca).
The Analogue productions LP was easier to use with only 1 track to play. I set the antiskate so that it survived their test track, and it played all the classical pieces without any problems.
And if I remember correctly, my antiskate on the DP6 is set where the red dot is at the 1 oclock position, and the handle at the 7 oclock position, ie... very little.
