Sumino vs stock

With the stock headshell I wasn't able to slide the cart far enough to the front for a proper 2 point alignment. So I ended up sliding it up as much as possible. I have to admit that with my new Technics table/DL103R I initially wasn't very happy sonicly. It sounded dull and closed in for the first week. My Marantz 6300/DL-103 did a better job.

But ... after installing the Sumiko I was able to properly align the cart. The difference was huge. Much more detail and highs. Much more spacious. Exactly like with the old table, only more refined. It really sounded so much better. So I'm not sure if it's the new headshell of the proper alignment.

I don't miss the cue thingy btw. The headshell was quite heavy without it (had to install the extra counterweight).
