Only once did I damage a cantilever and I was about 22-years old. I am 57 now. I think it was a Shure V-15 Type II on an AR Turntable—maybe it was an original Shure V-15; I don’t know. I snagged the cantilever on a sweater I was wearing and broke it off. That was a traumatic experience for me at such a young age because I thought the Shure was an expensive cartridge. Little did I know that it was really a cheap one compared to true audiophile cartridges. At any rate, I truly wish you better luck next time.Best regards,
