I might be tempted to try blutaking a concrete paver to the speaker base and having a layer of sorbothane between that paver and another.
This would lower the centre of gravity of the speaker to make it more stable, and still give the isolation.
Oh hell, this week I will try the innertube.
I have them under half the components anyway so it will be a good experiment to try a bigger one under a speaker.
If the damn thing doesn't fall on me I will report back in a day or three.
