Cool outlet, picked up one today and did the mods tonight...the Lowes I went to had the Eagle version in white and the Cooper one in Beige....glad I looked real close at both, and the IG Hospital Grade ones, to see the difference...the Eagle wouldn't have worked...too bad about the beige...but it will be hidden anyway....Took the one I got totally apart, cleaned all the brass inner workings in Tarn-X, washed with a strong cleaner (Fantastik), then polished with Maas metal polish, cleaned with the cleaner again, and then treated with DeoxIt...I also cleaned the brass screws and nuts with Tarn-X, washed 'em and sprayed DeoxIt on 'em and let them sit...
Let it all sit while I was fixing dinner, then put together afterwards..
One problem I did have was with the center post shorting out, so I just neatly wrapped the back strip, polyethelene and all, with pink Teflon tape...that took care of that!
Also couldn't find #5 brass wood screws, #6's won't work, so I just drove the rivets back in...they hold well...
I can't wait to get an afternoon to stick this in the system in place of my stock P&S 5262 and see if there's a difference...
