I haven't heard of them, but you could try those plugless mains switchs (like used for electric ovens) where you wire the mains lead strait to the pluless wall unit, u'd simplify the connections then (probably alot cheaper than those IEC wall units). I read it on here so have a search for other idea's if your intrested.
