The 2 uF cap won't do any harm if you try it but it may or may not be large enough to sound good. Probably worth a try- it will also give you an idea of the size cap you need for the one you are looking at ordering. The size depends on your cables and the impedance of the component that you are going to on the output. If the cap is too small, typically one might notice that the system sounds thin in the bass, and lifeless with little dynamics. In general if you have a high impedance input, say 50-100k, on the input to your preamp (assuming that is what you are using) then 2 uF will probably work fine. There is a way to calculate this, but someone with more knowledge would have to provide that.
