Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |
|
I am very interested in DIY and like experimenting on different audio setups.
I am currently trying to get the setups required for performing audio speaker( woofer) measurements( TS parameters).
But I have a Signal generator software which generates tones from my computer. The concern I have here is whether I will be able to use this software output from my soundacrd effectively.
I am not sure what the frequency response of the computer is like.
Hence can anyone tell me whether using a tone generator with my PC soundcard will be a good way to do audio testing. The souund driver is Crystal WDM audio codec.
I plan to use the output from the earphone outputs on my computer to a power amp( good quality) and do the measurements . Will this work.
All answers welcome.
