To clarify, the mids and highs are ok, the soft ceiling and thick carpet tames them. It's the bass that is not exactly missing, but is rounder in character and does not have the extension as desired.If the tiles are removed, there's a whole mass of ugly wiring, fire sprinklers, and a lot of empty space behind. So I just need something to trap the bass in the office below the tiles. I know how to control the bass once that is done, so that's not an issue.
And no subs, they are just too slow to keep up IMHO - M&K, Rel, Genesis, etc.
Thank you for all the feedback, but for me the room is the most important, so that's what I am trying to fix first.
