is it ok to use a marantz 2235b as a pre amp and a sansui 9090db as power amp?

would it be ok for me to use my marantz 2235b as a pre amp,
and a sansui 9090db as a power amp.
of course i would be going from the pre out on the 2235b
to the main in on the 9090db.
i would also be using a technics sh-8020 equalizer.
reason for doing this is because i like the sound of the marantz better, but want more power.
