S/PDIF Digital Output Problem!

I have a problem with my Marantz CD-63mkII CDP/Transport's S/PDIF digital output. It seems to be the RCA jack. The digital cable (which tests OK) when connected to my Museatex Melior DAC make's the DAC's indicator lights go crazy so there is a signal present. The clock is obviously not locking in, though. The only way to get it to lock in is to place a stack of closed cell foam pads between the cable's connector at the CDP's digital output and the MDF platform on which the CDP sits upon. This places *substantial* upwards pressure on the connection and provides a successful connection with some further wiggling of the cable but, makes moot the Bright Star Audio Isonodes that are used as the player's feet. Any advice? What would it cost to get it fixed?
