Given this new info, 4.7uF as an input cap should be sufficient to avoid bass rolloff. However, it can't hurt to try a larger value--say 10uF--ideally a low voltage (hence, physically smaller) poly film cap. I have been routinely replacing 4.7uF electro output caps in older equipment with the latter, every time to good effect. Norman
