Personally, I would use 10 gauge for this single run though.Putting your digital equipment on a separate line makes perfect sense to me. Consensus being that 10 gauge wire is better than 12 gauge, I would bite the bullet and use 10 for this run as well. NO, you would not want to use a P300 instead of a dedicated line, you would want a dedicated line first, and then try the P300.
Yes, you'll be cursing my name while pulling the 10 gauge wire; but you only do this job once, and when complete there will be no second guessing about whether you should have used the bigger wire.
When connecting to the breaker box, put your dedicated audio lines on the same phase.
On the outlet side, make sure you use good quality units with triple wipes.
