Re: mock exotica

Well in 30 years of buying hardwoods of all kinds and receiving *trade* journals for lumber buying I beg to differ. Clear old growth doug fir is still available for a price (as no wood can substitute) yet I walk the forests and the trees are nearly gone. Cedar of Lebannon, gone unless you count the remaining 35 acres asa "forest". I have worked for some of Americas best known architects on some fine ebony jobs in the 80's so I know about the ebony market. You cannot just plant Impingo and call yourself a conservator. 3"-5 trees do not a forest make.
