<> Hogwash! The receptacle rating has nothing to do with the size of the breaker. The wire gauge does, though. You need 10# for a 30A breaker, #12 for a 20A breaker. Breakers are there simply to protect the wire from catching fire.

The more equipment you have tied together powered from different circuits, the more potential the problem with ground loops/noise, if you are not careful.
