For the damping of my CDP/transport, I went low tech (and low cost). I silicone glued a mousepad to the outside bottom of the unit, then positioned (without gluing) another mousepad on the outside top of the unit, then in the center of all open areas of the unit's interior side panels and bracing I covered with a layer of museum putty (similar to blue tac) and covered that with waxed paper. This method combined with the use of Bright Star Isonodes (large) as feet for the CDP/transport which then sits upon a 3/4" MDF platform elevated with a tripod of brass cones is an effective vibration damping/isolation system to my ear. I would think other more costly methods may perform better but, I'm pleased with what I've done.
