Disclaimer: I am not an expert electrician; although I do own a BPT 3.5.While your problem may be a simple ground issue (which might be enough to kill you), the fact that it just started up indicates that you might have other problems. I would contact BPT immediately and ask them if this is a problem.
One permanent solution to a potential ground problem is to install a dedicated line, including ground wire back to your reference ground. You also might consider having an electrician install a proper ground for your entire house.
