Venhaus

I built an extension cord based on the design of Chris Venhaus' Hot Box to great success. He doesn't sell all the parts you need to build such a device, but you can find them easily. However, after having gone through the trouble, I can honestly say that the money you save making it yourself is not worth it. Go ahead and buy the finished product. It is priced right and drops your noise floor and makes the system more agile.

If you decide to build it yourself, you've been warned. Part of the construction process for me was cleaning up blood stains from the box....

There are several other companies selling high end extension cords. I've been curious about the model from Quantum, but I've never auditioned it. If you're serious about DIY, the best advice I can give you is to use a large box for the outlets; you need room to work!

Good luck!
May the bridges we burn light our way....
