Re: Directionality for AC?

Maybe this is relevant too, I have found that when I was plugging my two pinned AC cord instruments, (cd player and headphone amp.) they sounded differently every time, I marked the best sounding position: a white dot on the alleged live side of plug, and than opened them up.
It found that the pin with the white dot always went to the AC live connecting pin of the transformers.
In this case there is the matter of the transformers coiling method, but it was consistent with other audio instruments as well.
When plugged correctly it sounded right, warm and relaxed, The other way soundstage was surprisingly huge, but sound was shriller (kind of phase change).
