Jimbop,I did put them in the same place... used Sound Connections inside mount RCAs... I had to file down the block of metal on the inside base of each to allow then to fit. I used a short length of Holco resistor lead to connect them to the PCB.

Janis, I know what they say about the components, but I'm always open to further improvements... and open to my parts substitutions not being an improvement, I always listen carefully before and after and try to limit the number of tweaks I do at one time. On the diodes, I don't think that soft-recov or similar diodes were often used in EQ at that price point at that time... they might be, but I suspect they are not. Anyone know how to find out?
I'd sure like more info on that tube-clock if it's available too!
