I had purchased those from Cary to try them in a SLA 70 PP amp, and eventually found that they sucked so I took them out. Hence when I found them in a Cary Phono Pre I purchased later on I removed them almost immediately. You can do much better with a number of different film/foil caps. Auricaps are very nice, but teflons are better if you can afford the price (and can find the right values). I put in the Relcap Exotica teflons in the coupling position in my SE amps and they are indeed superb. Maybe the Russian teflons are nearly as good or as good, and they are a lot cheaper; there is just something about teflon...My experience with bypassing caps in the signal path has not been very good (unless if you need more emphasis with the upper frequencies), so I choose to get the best cap for the job and leave them unbypassed.
