When I first made my room lenses, they were unstuffed upright tubes in bases only. I had them flanking my upright piano (an immovable WAF object). They were working OK, but not perfectly, and Jon Risch was advising me that the resonance effect was the next to least of the 4 major acoustic functions they performed. I wasn't convinced because, when my daughter played that piano the tubes set up a real cacophonous resonance to beat the band! Once stuffed per recipe, they resonance with the piano disappeared and in its place was a perfectly operative DIY room lens setup.
