The "Chain theory" applies to audio components i.e. the chain is no stronger than its' weakest link. I have found that the closer to the signal source a component, mod, etc. is the greater its' effect on sonics, altho its' effect should be audible thruout the chain.The finest sounding female RCA's I have heard (I have tried most of what's on the market) are the Vampire OFC RCA's which Percy handles. The best sounding MALE RCA's are the Eichmann Bullet RCA's, with the VAmpire OFC's a distant second. Unfortunately, to my knowledge, Eichmann does not offer FEMALE RCA's at this time. They are all a bit pricey, but well worth it for their sonics.
