Can I burn in raw drivers before installing them in their cabinets?

While I'm waiting to finish up my cabinets, can I just hook up my raw drivers to a spare receiver and just let them burn-in for a few days? Will this hurt them in any way if the are sitting upside down or on their sides? They are FE167Es. TIA...
