Large value capacitors and inductors

For these capacitors, normally found in woofer circuits, it may not be price justified to replace these with large expensive types (and they can be expensive). Another option would be to bypass these with a decent quality cap at 5-10% of the value. Even a 0.10 uF as a bypass cap would do the trick. I recently replaced all capacitors in a pair of two way speakers (2nd order x-overs) with AuriCaps and all resistors with Mills and left the air core inductors in place. I won't get into details that will cause a debate but will say there was a noticable improvement.

Sonic improvements? Don't expect miracles but a decent bypass cap won't set you back to much.

Inductors? If they look to be of decent quality air core types. I would leave them in. Choice is yours.

Resistors - If they are generic sand cast type. I personally recommend replacing these with Mills or similar.

Good luck with your tweaks. And keep us imformed with the results.
