okie, a newbie questions on tranny and a few other things......
1) If a tranny has a primary 230V, secondary 125Vac and 6.3V/0.6A, does that means that its secondary B+ is 125V and its secondary filament is 6.3V?
Sorry, new to this DIY world without any electronic background. Trying to understand some concepts2) Also, can I use stiff copper wire (like Jena Labs enameled copper wire) for both grounding purposes and wiring purposes? Or is it better to use insulated wires for wiring? Which will be a good wire for wiring (between resistors, caps etc)?
3) I know diode is directional, hence has to connect them in a certain direction. But what about resistors? I assume it is ok to connect them in either orientation
4) Any good site to teach soldering and how to read basic circuit design?
5) Lastly, how to connect a LED to the power switch to indicate power on or off? Taking the above tranny as an example, do I connect the LED between the fuse and the power switch? or would that be a no-no?
Thanks for reading and your help.
