Dedicated tools are a better option if you have the space. As has been pointed out, when you switch from drilling, to sawing, to sanding, there's set up time for each operation. I can't imagine anything more aggrivating than to take a while to set up for one operation, go to the next operation, and forget you have to do another piece like operation #1!
