Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |

I recently picked up a demo unit of the Cambridge Audio t500 tuner at a very good price and it sounds very good. Through my research, I found out that the T500 is based on Creek's design, but manufactured in the East with lower grade parts to keep costs down. If that's the case (good design with okay parts), would it make sense for me crack the case open, and start replacing parts to improve the sound? Has anyone on this board ever worked on this tuner?Gar.
