I have just relpaced the cdm12.1 in my Marantz cd63, I have done the clockhack and output caps, and replaced some of the fuse resistors with chokes. All was well with the original cdm12.1 except that i nudged the ribbon cable linking the 2 boards together & this fryed the photodiodes or laser. When I changed the pickup all was ok, but after a few hours the drawer shot open (motor does not stop whirring) and the disc motor spins like mad as well. The switches work but have no effect, has anyone got any ideas, I am considering going for a marantz 5400 ose as a replacement if the old girl is finished.
