yeah.... you gotta love this... if it is sold as an audiophile product its esoteric and priced acccordingly.... "Sir, this is no ordinary wood ! This wood was hand Tachyonized under a full moon by vestal virgins ! Your sound will accordingly be NUBILE! RAVISHING!"
You might want to consider, on the other hand, top quality clear maple blocks that are sold as toys... the same objects that are given to children in kindergartens throught the land... that come in many useful sizes and shapes...
for example, a piece that is 1.325" x 2.75" x 11", two would be perfect to fit under most equipment feet, sells as "open stock" for
$3.14 each, that's three dollars and fourteen cents, not $314, as you might imagine from Ye Olde Hi Ende Shoppe....
I'm going to buy several different shapes, and for a radical experiment, have them cryogenically treated (yes, Virginia, organic materials do respond to cryo, and I have many items to prove it, including some suits made from cryogenically treated wool) to see where that leads....
