You apply a + or - 5v signal to the drawer opening motor , you have to bypass the motor drawer connector otherwise you blow a chip , so essentially you need to isolate the 5 (or 6) conductor cable and then apply the voltage to the motor supply leads.
You load a good Cdr , let it read isolate the cable , open the drwer via the 5v signal , insert a cheapy , close via the signal , "reconnect" the cable and record
