Even though it is a cable jacket, it still wil have an effect on the sound, as the electric field from the cable will still impinge on it somewhat. Use the best materials for this too, polyethylene would be better than nylon.See:

for source of other than nylon.Some of the other sources mentioned for nylon sleeving will also have PE sleeving too.
