The biggest difference is the Vampires don't suck as much as the Cardas :-) I'm not crazy about any of the connectors that are currently out there..........Tried the Cardas about ten years ago and recall needing a really heavy iron as there were two flanges on the back of the connector and the one you solder the grounds to acted like a heatsink.....They were dirty sounding in comparison with the Odyssey or the Vampire......Go to my picture gallery to see how the teflon sheets were mounted in our preamp BTW........
