As a new person to this forum, I should have looked around enough to see that people say "cap" for "capacitor"!!The larger Farad sizes are the "B" series, which supposedly have a higher (!!!) series resistance than the "A" series. They recommend the "A" series for applicaitons like ignition, etc. In one application I've been dabbling with, I have sensitive analog sensors being driven from the same regulated power supply that is driving a typical RC servo. Servos have motors that make lots of stop-n-go motions, drawing anywhere from 10mA to 1A, with jumps occuring in less than a millisecond. Even the small aerogel capacitors smooth this out quite nicely.
I guess the big question is that of longevity- will they give out after several thousand hours of use like many electrolytes? I haven't tested this yet. But they do seem to take some abuse.
