Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |
|
Hello, Folks:I'd like to get some more opinions on this. There seems to be some debate on whether contact treatments like the Caig products, Kontact, Cramolin, etc. are useful or harmful. I bought some Caig DeOxit to try on sticky switches in some of my tube testers. I'm a bit hesitant to use it on tube pins and sockets, input/output jacks, even tube tester switches, until I understand a bit more.
What to do? Contact cleaner with preservative? With no preservative? With lubricant? No lubricant? Don't use any contact cleaner?
What're people's opinions?
