Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |

Hello all you DIY'ers out there. I am construcing an amp platform out of a thick granite surface plate and need to drill into it to install some pointy feet. Before I dull all my Masonry drill bits, I thought I would ask you all if you have ever tried to drill into granite and how you would do that or if you have any tips. I am flexible on the hole size as I can get different feet with different size screws. Also, I assume I need to put in some "anchors" to hold the screws in there so the hole should be bigger than the screw gong in because the anchor needs to go in 1st.Any words of wisdom?
