After reading Pete's post on his platform project and Vermeer's on sandbox sand I have been wondering about other materials which might be sucessfully substituted for sand in a sandbox. Has anyone here tried hardwood sawdust in a sandbox or have any thoughts on it? It is a wonderful material for insulation but how about isolation or damping? Also look at the sandbox based equipment shelves tereaudio.
