In a feature by Martin Colloms, he found that trying to bypass a BG almost inevitably ended up degrading the sound. Like Chauncy says, allow the BG to break in fully, and if you want to spend extra money, rather add that to your budget and start off buying a more expensive BG. The result will be much better than buying a N-type and then trying to bypass.Enjoy,
DeonPS. If the budget is limited now, by the N-type, and when you get more money, start replacing other caps in the signal path with BGs. In fact I think the path of greatest improvement lies along this way.
