Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |

OK.. I'm fairly new to DIY and completely new to tuners. I just bought an old analog Nikko receiver for a beginner project. The first thing I did was clean all the switches with contact cleaner like usual. Then I thought a squirt on the tuner gangs couldn't hurt either---guess I was wrong. Now it only tunes the 4 strongest stations, and poorly at that.Have I completely ruined it?
