Re: Binding post fix -- where to get "cup"?

I highly recommend AGAINST using terminal cups on any speakers. They increase the chances for air leakage which can alter tuning. They also make the cabinet flimsier in terms of bracing and can cause greater cabinet resonance. This is not to mention the plastic cup itself vibrating / resonating to the beat of the music. This is especially critical in a sealed cabinet, as these will maintain higher internal pressures when compared to ported speakers.

I have used and had great luck with the Axon 5 way binding posts that Zalytron offers. These are the equal of any Vampire products at way less cost. They are "stud" types that you simply drill a small hole ( or use the existing holes ) and lock them in place via their rear attaching nut. They are constructed of gold plated oxygen free copper and accept up to about a 6 or 8 gauge wire. They are highly recommended and cheap to boot. They only cost $4.25 apiece. Compare these directly to WBT's or Vampire's and i know which one you'll be buying. Sean
