I think this post is a perfect example of a "questionable" (and I don't mean that in a bad way at all) product. I've seen several posts for this or that product, and even an extremely long thread on someoen bitching because they couldn't figure out how it worked or if it was possible. I think these links are great, Do I try all the products? NO Are some of them probably snake-oil treatments? Maybe Would I ever say that this or that product is Bogus? NO WAY . From my short lived time in audio, I've learned simply somethings can't be tested. Somethings can make a difference 9/10 people may not be able to detect, buit there is that ONE that can, for them the product may be the best thing since sliced bread. I found it extremely ammussing when I stumbled upon this board that some people would woory themselves so much over whether a particular product was legit or not. Since I started chemo, I've had a lot more time to tweak my audio system, it's nowhere near what I'd choose ideally but it falls within my price range and I get ptetty good sound. I choose where I spend my cash very carefully, but I love looking at all these products. Even if I can't buy them, I get ideas, wish-lists, any number of benifits from reading about these products (this one for example, I was reading on thier web page about cyro-freezing cables...well I can't afford it but I have friends who work in labs with huge liquid Nitrogen tanks...maybe I can talk them into freezing a few pair of leftover IC's...who knows). Maybe it's my particular station in life right now, but if your getting huffy about the claims buisiness A makes about product A, then you have it pretty good in life, GET REAL IF THAT'S YOUR BIGGEST CONCERN YOU HAVE NO PROBLEMS. I've also seen most of these offer money-back guareentees which kinda kills any claim to fraud...(call a local DA and say so-and-so sold you this BOGUS AUDIO ENHANCING PRODUCT and tell them they gave you your cash back but you still want to file a case...and count the seconds until they break out in laughter). Why am I going into this diatribe...who knows boredom mostly...I'm really looking for a good cable for a DIY AC mains project, but these threads caught my eye. I just know 5 years ago if you told me that the power cord to your equipment made a difference in the sound it produced, I'd call you a liar...or 10 years ago that different cd players sounded different..some people still don't believe me, doesn't make it a lie. Here's the list of my current and upcoming equipment. Maybe I'll be trying some new products I find in this Forum soon. Thanks for listening.Marantz AV550
