Easy acoustics tweak

Floor absorbers at the reflection point between speaker and listener! I've read many times about the importance of damping this point, but never bothered to do anything about it.
My speakers are spaced well away from side and back walls and I sit in a near field position to minimise the sonic impact of reflections. However I had paid no attention to the floor reflection point. My floor has only a thin Afghan rug over floorboards, which offers little attenuation.
Using construction similar to Jon Risch's wall treatments, I made a couple of absorbers by folding two 1.2m x 0.4m fibreglass batts into triangles. I placed some extra fibreglass batting in the centres to fill the hole then covered with polyester batting (to seal fibreglass) then burlap to match my bass traps.

When placed at the floor reflection points - ie put a mirror on the floor so you can see the speaker's tweeter from the listening position - I got a quite significant increase in depth and spaciousness with more palpable images.
The triangular (point up) ottoman look is an acquired taste - I place them inconspicuously against the wall when not listening.
Cost me nothing, since I had the materials left over from my bass trap project.
