The stands didn't sound just fine. Meaning to say they exhibited no resonances to speak of . At about 50 lbs. each (sand filled) they do what good little speaker stands are supposed to do. Add mass and height to the speakers. This has the usual positive effects on bass, overall clarity and imaging. EKG
