John Thanks for the explanation. I guess that the low frequency will go through the outer plastic that they come in. The top and bottom are exposed with the coil showing- It still has the perforated plastic over it. The plastic is quiet thin.
I just bought them as they were on a closeout sale for $4 a roll. R25
I have 3 stack in each corner and 2 more at the mid room short corner created by the floor to celing fireplace.
So far it seem to have cleaned up my subs making it tighter. Although a little laid back (lower volume)softer at the low frequency. I will try the subtraction and moving things around.
I suppose for your regular bass tube, I will have to cut open the sheer perf wrap to let the fiberglass expand before wrapping around the wire grid.
If they dont expand enough I will have to doubleup till they meet your recipe thickness. I bought 12 rolls. If I end not using them all I will ensure a warmer next winter :)
