LM1875 Gainclone Problem

I just finished my Gainclone this morning. Originally, I bought 2 little tiny heat sinks from The Shack, but the lm1875 would overheat in about 10 mins of playing.
So, I went out and found a single giant heat sink and bolted the chips to it.
It plays music fine for about 2 mins and then one channel conks out and then the other 30 seconds after.
Neither the heat sink or the chip seems to even get warm before it fails.
I searched the forum and found someone posted a similar questions and didn't get a response. This was months ago so I am hoping someone has had and solved this problem recently.
