Look for www.audio-consulting.ch when interested in silver coils. These sound different & better. There was a comparison of copper coils within a Sound Lab interface, and they came ahead of the Goertz.
On the surface the foil coil approach is the best, but a careful round wire design can sound better, because of the big surfaces in volved in flat foils, and because of too much plastic. As an alternative, look at the Jensen foil coils. They use a paper dielectric, ands may be available in silver too.
Conventional round, rel thick wire coils sound considerably worse than the flat foil coils though. Keep away from impregnated coils.
