Re: 2sK170 for class A bias?

I'm on medication as well; you are not alone.
Do you mean biasing the opamp in class A with
the method of tangentsoft? If it is so, 2SK170
give better sound because it has a higher Idss
than 2N5484. In fact, I think 170 has the highest
Idss in the markert. Anyone please confirm/correct?
Don't over do it cause otherwise you will switch
on the current limit circuitry of the output stage.
It will almost certainly blow up the opamp. Also
opamp will be at high temp' which is not good.
I have a method of ensuring the opamp is in class A
without lowering the supply voltage. All you need
is 1 single component. If you want to try out, I'm
