That's very interesting. I wonder if some of the differences between what you are hearing and what some other who rave about TVCs are hearing has to do with impedance matching. That is, the only real downside to a resistive attenuator is that it shows a lower input impedance to the source and a higher output impedance to the amp than would a TVC. However, since your amp's impedance is 470K -- more than 10 times what many amps have -- this is no problem at all. For others whose amps do not have such a high impedance, they may find a benefit to the TVC. Just a hypothesis. -Tom
